You can find us in Mathikere, situated very close to the railway gate. If you have ever had to wait for the train to go by, you probably noticed our sign near the tracks. It's not a huge place, but we keep the shop filled with all the different items we trade. We've been working from this exact spot for a long time now. The sound of the trains passing is constant, and after a while, you stop even noticing it, although it does make talking on the phone a bit of a challenge sometimes. We deal with various goods that the local people need for their daily routines or businesses. My wife handles the bookkeeping when she has time, and we have a young man who helps us move the heavier crates around. It involves a lot of manual labor, mostly lifting and checking our inventory every morning before the shutters go up. We are not trying to be some massive corporation; we just focus on having what people need when they walk through the door. Sometimes when it rains heavily, the road by the gate gets a bit muddy and difficult, but our regular customers still manage to find their way to us. We don't spend money on fancy displays or decorations. The shelves are strictly for holding the products so we can find things quickly when someone asks. It is a basic way to earn a living and keep things running.
