Sasken

Sasken is based in Bangalore, specifically at Flat No 105 in Prakruthi Enclave. Working out of an apartment building is quite different from a big office block. It’s much quieter for one thing. We have our desks set up in what would normally be the living room and one of the bedrooms. It’s a bit of a tight fit sometimes, especially when we have all our equipment out, but it’s cozy. Prakruthi Enclave is a nice enough place with some greenery around, which is a relief in a city as busy as Bangalore. We don’t have a big sign on the main road, so visitors usually have to call us from the gate to get the flat number. We’re not looking to be some massive corporation. We just like doing our work in peace. There’s a small balcony where we go to get some air or have a quick tea break. The kitchen is always stocked with biscuits and tea powder because we go through a lot of it. We don’t have a dress code or any of those corporate rules. If someone wants to work in their flip-flops, that’s fine. We know each other well and the atmosphere is very casual. Sometimes we stay late to finish a project, and other times we leave early if things are quiet. It’s a flexible way of working that fits our lives. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors don't seem to mind us much.
