Down here on Jaya Chamarajendra Road, things are always a bit loud and messy. Our place at 41518 is right in the middle of all that noise. If you walk into the shop, the first thing you’re going to notice is the smell of hot metal and some old grease. It’s definitely not a quiet or clean place to spend your day. We spend most of our time hunched over ovens and various parts that need fixing or putting together. There’s usually a lot of tools scattered all over the workbenches and some half-finished projects just sitting in the corner gathering a bit of dust. The ceiling fans are always running on high, but it still gets pretty hot once the machines start going. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting lounge for people. If someone comes by, they usually just have to find one of us on the floor. It’s been this way for years now and we don't plan on changing it. We know the machinery better than we know anything else, I suppose. My hands are usually pretty dirty by ten in the morning, but that’s just how it is. Some days are slower than others, but mostly it’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the parts fit right. The street outside is a constant mess of bikes and carts. We get our lunch from the small stall down the road and eat while sitting on some old packing crates in the back. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning until night.
