Bake World

The ovens start heating up pretty early every morning over here in Bommanahalli. Bake World has been a part of this neighborhood for a good bit now, and we have seen many shops come and go on our street. Our days are mostly filled with the smell of fresh flour and yeast, which is honestly one of the better parts of the job. We make the usual things you would expect to find, like loaves of bread, simple buns, and those small cakes that parents buy for their kids' birthdays. Sometimes the frosting on the cupcakes looks a bit hurried if we have a lot of orders, but they still taste like they should. It is a small space, so it tends to get very warm in the afternoons when everything is baking at once. We do not have a huge team, just a few of us who know how to handle the mixers and which timers are a little bit temperamental. Locals usually drop in for their morning rolls or a quick snack while they are heading home from work. We try our best to keep the glass cases full, though by the time evening rolls around, things can start looking a little sparse. It is not a fancy cafe with soft music, just a place to buy your daily bread and maybe a cookie if you are in the mood. We just keep it simple and make sure the ovens are off before we head out.
