Safa Plastics

Safa Plastics sits at number 6 on Sultanji Gunte Road, right in the heart of the Bamboo Bazar area. It’s a crowded part of Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, and our shop is just as packed. We have plastic goods stacked from the floor to the ceiling. You can find everything from small food containers to massive trash bins and rolls of packing film. It can be a bit of a maze inside. We often have to move three things just to get to the one item a customer wants. The street outside is always full of carts, trucks, and people shouting, so it’s never quiet here. We spend our days counting out plastic bags or helping someone find the right size bucket. Many of our customers are other small business owners who need packaging for their own shops. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that move the air around. It’s a bit hot in the summer, but we stay busy enough that we don't notice it too much. We’ve been here a long time and the shop has become a bit of a landmark in this section of the bazar. We don't have a fancy website or a catalog. People just come in, look around, and buy what they need. It’s a straightforward, local business that keeps the neighborhood supplied with the basics.
