S M Electonics & Controls Pvt Ltd is located over at 22/1 in Ramachandrapuram, specifically on 4th Cross, 5th Main. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but it’s a good area for what we do. We handle a lot of electronic components and control panels here. The air inside always has that faint smell of solder and warm plastic. We have a few benches set up for assembly and testing. It’s not a massive factory, just a solid place where we put things together. The street outside is usually full of delivery vans and other small workshops. We know the guys next door pretty well. Sometimes we borrow a tool or help them out with a heavy lift. We don't really use big words to describe what we do. If a control board isn't working, we find out why and fix it. That’s pretty much the whole story. We’ve been here long enough that the walls have a few scuffs and the floor is worn down in the spots where we stand the most. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp during the long afternoons. It’s a steady rhythm of work that we’ve gotten used to over the years. Even when things get stressful with a deadline, we just keep our heads down and get through the pile. This place feels like a second home to those of us who spend our days here.
