S M Acrylic Plastic

It gets pretty busy here on the second cross of Dodda Mavalli, especially being so close to the main Lalbagh Fort Road. If you know the area, you know how the traffic can be during the peak hours, but we’ve been at this spot for a while now. S M Acrylic Plastic is mostly just a place where we get the work done without much fuss. There are sheets of plastic leaned up against the walls and the smell of the shop is something you just get used to after the first few minutes. We are sitting right at number 10. The floors are rarely clean because there is always some bit of scrap or dust from the cutting we do throughout the day. People stop by asking for all sorts of sizes and we just try to find what fits their needs. It isn’t some fancy showroom where everything is polished and shiny. It is a working shop through and through. The neighborhood is a mix of old houses and small businesses like ours. Sometimes the tea stall down the road is the best part of the morning when things get hectic. We spend most of our time measuring, cutting, and making sure the edges aren't too sharp. It’s practical work. Nothing more and nothing less. If you’re looking for a big corporate office, you won’t find it here. Just a few of us trying to keep up with the orders that come through the door.
