The address is 94-5-63, but the garment shop is the easiest way to tell people where we are. We have a mix of granite and marble here. Most mornings involve moving pieces around to make space for new arrivals coming in from the quarries. It’s a dusty environment, there’s no way around that when you work with stone all day. We have a couple of cutters that we use for basic sizing. The sound of the blades is something you just get used to after a week or two on the job. We aren't doing anything revolutionary; we just provide stone to people who need it for their kitchens or floors. My clothes are usually covered in some kind of grey residue by lunch. We sit out front when it’s not too hot and wait for customers to walk in. Often, they come in with a small scrap of paper where they’ve scribbled down their kitchen dimensions. We do our best to find a slab that fits those numbers without too much waste. It’s a lot of walking back and forth across the yard to show different pieces. We don't have a website or any of that, we just rely on being here every day and having the doors open. It’s a basic business, and we like keeping it that way without any extra fuss or unnecessary drama.
