We’ve been based here at 801, 8th Main in Srinagar for quite a while now. Bangalore has changed a lot over the years, but this little corner of 560050 stays mostly the same. The mornings are usually the busiest part of the day for us, with people coming and going. We spend a lot of time making sure things are where they need to be. It’s not a fancy corporate setup with a lot of rehearsed speeches or glossy brochures. It’s just us, the staff, trying to keep the place running day in and day out. You’ll find us right near the main road. Sometimes the traffic outside is a bit loud, especially during the rush hour, but you eventually get used to the hum of the city. We’ve had the same team for a while now, which makes the work easier. Most of us live nearby, so we just walk in or take a quick scooter ride to the building. The structure itself is pretty easy to spot once you get into the 8th Main area of Srinagar. We handle the rooms and the guests as they come through the door. There is always a light bulb to change or a desk to tidy up. We don’t really go in for the whole big marketing thing because people around here already know we are here. It’s a very practical way of working. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, and other days are a bit chaotic. We just take it as it comes.
