Our building is located at 112, West of Chord Road, right in the 2nd Stage of Mahalaxmipuram. Being in this part of Bangalore means we see a lot of different people coming through the doors every day. We aren't just one room; we’ve got a whole setup here to keep things running for the guests. It’s a lot of work keeping the rooms tidy and the lobby looking decent. The staff spends most of the time running up and down the stairs or checking the booking sheets. Sometimes the laundry takes longer than it should, or a bulb goes out in one of the hallways, so we stay pretty busy with the small stuff. Karnataka weather can be unpredictable, so we’re always checking the windows and the cooling systems. We don’t try to be too formal with everyone. It’s more about making sure people have a place to stay that isn't a mess. We have our regulars who come for work and stay for a few days at a time. It’s nice to see them again. The kitchen is always a bit chaotic in the morning when breakfast is being served, but we get through it. We aren’t trying to be the fanciest place in the world, just a reliable one on West of Chord Road. Most of us have worked here long enough to know the layout by heart. We just do the job and go home when the shift ends.
