R.J. Granite & Marble

You can find us at No. 26/1, right on the Second Cross in Srk Garden. R.J. Granite & Marble is tucked away just off Bannerghatta Main Road, so the traffic noise is always there in the background. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze getting the bigger trucks into this lane, but we manage it somehow. The yard is full of marble and granite slabs, and there is always a layer of white dust over everything. We spend our days moving these heavy pieces around and making sure nothing gets chipped. It’s hard on the back, and by the end of the week, everyone is feeling pretty tired. We have a small office space, but it’s mostly filled with samples and scraps of stone. We don’t bother with fancy displays or anything like that. People just come in, look at the stacks, and pick what they need. Sometimes we sit out front and watch the bikes go by on the main road while we have our lunch. It’s a busy part of the city, and things can get pretty chaotic when several customers show up at once. We just try to keep things organized as best as we can in a small space. The work is dirty and loud, but it is what we know how to do. We’ve been at this Bannerghatta spot for a while and have seen the neighborhood change a lot around us.
