Ridhi Granites

Ridhi Granites is located out in Yelahanka. It’s an area where you see a lot of this kind of work happening. We have a lot of stone slabs sitting around in the yard. It gets pretty dusty when the trucks come in to unload or when we are moving things about. Granite is heavy and hard to move so we spend a lot of time with the machinery. We see builders and homeowners coming by to look at the different colors and patterns. No two pieces are exactly the same which is just how stone is. We’ve been doing this in Yelahanka for a while now. The sun can be quite hot in the open yard during the middle of the day. We usually wear old clothes because everything gets covered in stone dust anyway. It’s not a glamorous job but it’s what we do. We show people what we have available and they pick what they like for their kitchens or floors. Sometimes the rain slows things down because the slabs get slippery. We just wait for it to pass. It’s a simple business of buying and selling stone. We don't have a fancy showroom. Just the yard and the office where we keep the books. Most of our customers are locals from around this part of the city. We just keep at it day after day. It’s a heavy job but someone has to do it for the houses being built around.
