My office is at 108 Gandhi Nagar Main Road. Being on the main road means there is a lot of traffic and people passing by all the time. Rajesh S R Adv is what it says on the board outside. I’ve been working as an advocate for some time, and this spot has been my base for most of it. The room is filled with books, mostly law books that I’ve had since I started. They are heavy and take up a lot of shelf space, but I need them. There is a ceiling fan that makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. I spend a lot of time reading through documents and writing out notes for various cases. People come in with all sorts of problems, and I just sit and listen to them. I don't have a fancy waiting room or anything. Just a few plastic chairs near the door. The main road can be noisy with the horns and the buses, but I’ve learned to focus despite it. My hours are a bit irregular because sometimes I have to be out at the courts or meeting people elsewhere. But usually, if the lights are on, I’m inside working on something. It’s a straightforward life, just helping people navigate their legal issues from this little office on the road. It’s a lot of long hours but I am used to the grind by now. Sometimes I don't leave until quite late in the evening.
