Rajasthan Marble & Granites

Our yard for Rajasthan Marble & Granites is at 135/3 Arabic College Po. We’re right by the Mahalaxmi Five Road intersection, pretty close to the petrol bunk there. If you’re looking for stone, you’ll see the stacks from the road. We carry all sorts of marble and granite slabs that come in from different places. It’s heavy work, moving these things around with the crane or by hand when we have to. The ground is always covered in stone dust and we usually have water running to keep things cool when we’re cutting. It gets loud sometimes. We have different colors and patterns, though nature makes them how it wants, so no two pieces ever really look the same. People come by to pick out something for their kitchen counters or maybe for a floor. We show them what we have in the back and explain how thick the slabs are. It’s a straightforward business. We don't do much fancy talking, just show the stone and tell the price. The weather affects us a lot because we’re outdoors mostly. When it rains, the marble gets slippery and we have to be extra careful. We’ve been in this spot near the college for a good while and the neighbors know us. It’s just us and the stones every day.
