Our shop is tucked into Herohalli at Govindji Park 34/5. It is mostly an industrial area, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks in the background. We spend our days putting together electrical control panels and power boxes. The workshop isn't very large, so we have to be careful where we step with all the wires and metal enclosures sitting around on the floor. It is a lot of manual work, stripping wires, crimping terminals, and making sure all the components are bolted down where they belong. We have a big workbench that has seen better days, covered in scratches and marks from years of use. It’s not a place for someone who likes to stay clean, as there’s always a bit of metal shavings or dust from the drilling. We work from drawings that are often a bit wrinkled or have coffee stains on them from long afternoons. Most of the panels we build go into small factories nearby, so we see the same people coming in to check on their orders. We don't have a secretary or a fancy reception area. If someone comes by, they usually just walk right into the back where we are working. It gets quite hot in the summer because the tin roof traps the heat, but we just keep the door open and get on with it. It’s just us trying to make sure the wiring is right so the panels don't fail when they get installed.
