We’ve been over here at 17 Hongasandra for a while now, just doing what we do. It’s a busy spot near 31 Cross Road, right in the Pattabi Building. If you live around here, you probably know the area because it has a lot going on all the time. We mostly spend our days with brushes and rollers in our hands. It isn't fancy work, but it needs to be done right or it looks like a mess. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to get outside jobs finished on time, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. We keep our gear in the shop and head out to wherever the work is that day. It’s usually residential stuff, like people wanting a change in their living rooms or maybe the outside of their house is looking a bit rough after the rains. We don't have a big office with people answering phones all day. Usually, someone just picks up when they can or we call back later when we have a break. The Pattabi Building isn't hard to find once you are on the road. We try to keep things simple. No big speeches or anything, just showing up and doing the walls. Sometimes we help pick out the colors if someone is really stuck, but mostly people already know what they want. It’s a lot of climbing ladders and moving furniture around so we don't get drops on the floor. It is tiring, but seeing a fresh coat of paint always feels like we actually accomplished something for the day.
