If you know Chickpet, you know how hard it is to move around there. We are at number 53 in Jayanth Plaza. You have to find the lane right opposite Sudharshan Silk to get to us. It is tucked away in Janata Market, specifically Phase 3-B-1. The lanes are narrow and there is always someone pushing a cart full of cloth nearby. We have been selling our collections here for a long time. The shop is small and it gets quite hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front. We keep the fans going all day. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to Chickpet for years. They know the shortcuts. We don't bother with big signs or bright lights. People find us by word of mouth mostly. Dealing with the wholesale side of things means there are always bundles of fabric sitting on the floor. It looks a bit messy but we know where everything is. On festival days, you can hardly walk in the street outside. We usually have to drink our tea standing up because there is no room to sit down. It is a hectic place to work but it is never boring. We just try to get the orders right and keep the stock moving through the door as fast as we can.
