If you head over to Sampangiram Nagar, specifically near the National Games Village at 13/1, that’s where we are set up. This area is usually quite active with people moving around the residential blocks. We do a lot of distribution work here, which mostly means boxes coming in and boxes going out. The space inside is mostly taken up by stock, leaving just enough room for a small table where we keep the ledger. It’s not the quietest place because of all the deliveries, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We keep a regular schedule, opening up early and staying until the last delivery is sorted for the day. Sometimes the rain makes the narrow roads a bit of a mess, but the work doesn't really stop for that. We know the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around the village quite well. It’s a practical setup without any bells or whistles. We focus on getting things to where they need to go without making a big fuss about it. The floor is concrete and the lights are just basic tubes, but it works for what we need. Most of our time is spent on the phone or checking the inventory against the orders we have. We've got a couple of small carts we use to move the heavier items around so we don't hurt our backs and can keep things moving.
