Praveen Tiles

Down at 56-2-1 in the Jayanna Complex, you’ll find Praveen Tiles. We’re right by the Sajapura Cross in Attibele, so it’s a busy spot with lots of people moving through all the time. Unlike the granite shops, we deal mostly with boxes of tiles. They might be smaller than giant slabs, but they sure are heavy when you’re carrying ten boxes at a time. My arms have gotten pretty strong over the years working here. The complex can get a bit crowded, especially on weekends when everyone is off work and trying to fix up their houses. We spend a lot of time opening boxes to show people the actual color and feel of the tiles because you can't really tell from a picture on a box. Sometimes we have broken ones in the shipment, which is always a pain to deal with. We just stack them in the corner and keep going. Attibele is a growing place, so there’s always someone building something new around the Sajapura Cross. We’re usually here from early morning until the sun goes down. It’s a lot of counting tiles and checking order slips to make sure everything is right before it goes out. We don’t have any big corporate slogans or fancy displays. It’s just us, the boxes of tiles, and the Jayanna Complex. It’s a decent place to work and we know a lot of the regulars who come by.
