Prakash Acrylics

Prakash Acrylics is located at number 33 on Hospital Road in Chickpet. If you know Chickpet, you know how tight the streets are and how hard it is to find a place to park. Our shop is dedicated to everything related to acrylic sheets. We spend our days cutting, gluing, and polishing plastic to make all sorts of things like signboards, boxes, and display stands. There is always a layer of fine plastic dust on everything, even though we try to keep it clean. We have some heavy cutting machines and a couple of workbenches where we do the assembly. It’s a lot of manual work and you have to be careful not to scratch the sheets. People come in with sketches on scraps of paper, and we have to figure out how to turn those ideas into something solid. Sometimes it’s a simple job and other times it’s quite complicated and takes a few days to get right. We don't have a showroom, just the workshop where all the magic happens. The noise of the saws can be a bit much at times, but we just wear our earplugs and keep going. We’ve been here for quite some time now and have built a steady stream of regulars who know where to find us. It’s a messy but interesting job that keeps us thinking.
