Pragathi Beauty Parlour

Being in Rajajinagar 5th Block is busy, especially with the Bashyam Circle bus stop so close by. Pragathi Beauty Parlour is located at No.604/18 in the NRS Plaza, right on 62nd Cross. It is a bit of a climb up sometimes, but once you are inside, it feels different from the noisy street outside. Bangalore traffic is always humming in the background, but we get used to it. The shop has been here for some time, and we know most of the ladies who live in the nearby apartments. It is a small space, but we have everything we need set up. We spend most of the day tidying up the shelves and making sure the towels are clean. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or use the emergency lights. It is not one of those huge salons you see in the malls; it is just a local spot where people feel okay coming in their everyday clothes. We have some plants near the window that seem to like the light there. People coming from the bus stop often pop their heads in to ask for the time or to see if we are busy. We keep things pretty straightforward and do not really do any big advertisements. Most people find us just by walking past on their way to the market or the bus stand. It feels like a small part of the community here and we like the people around.
