We’ve been here at number 53 on PD Mello Road in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar for a while now. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of the traffic coming off the main roads, but we like it here. People usually stop by when they’re looking for something specific for their electrical setups or just need to ask a question about a part they can't find elsewhere. Our shop isn't fancy, just a lot of shelves and boxes piled up. It gets pretty dusty with the windows open, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, which is ironic given our name, but we just wait it out like everyone else on the street. My brother and I run the place most days, though sometimes we have a cousin help out when things get a bit more hectic than usual. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. Most folks find us just by walking past or because they’ve lived in the neighborhood for years and know we’re tucked away here. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but you can still see it if you’re looking. We spend a lot of time just organizing the back room and making sure we know where everything is. It's a simple life, honestly. We open up early, drink some tea from the stall next door, and see who comes through the door. It usually stays pretty steady until we close up for the evening.
