Plesant Fummigaters

Our place is right off the Yediyur Narol Sarkhej Highway at number 1. Being so close to the highway means it’s always loud with trucks going by, but it makes it easy for us to get out to different sites quickly. Plesant Fummigaters is mostly a mobile operation anyway. We spend a lot of time in the van, driving from one place to another with our gear in the back. The office is just a spot to store the chemicals and keep the logs. It’s not very big, and it gets quite hot in the afternoons. We’ve got some old metal shelves and a calendar that’s a couple of months behind. Doing fumigation isn't the most glamorous job in the world. You’re dealing with pests and tight spaces, and you’re wearing heavy gear even when it’s boiling outside. But people need it done, so we do it. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything. Most people find us through word of mouth or by seeing the van on the road. We try to be honest about what we can do and how long it will take. Sometimes the bugs are stubborn and we have to go back, which is just part of the cycle. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but we’ve been at it long enough that it feels normal now.
