Pelican Grani Marmo Pvt. Ltd. is based on the 1st Main Road in the 1st Block of Byrasandra. Our address says the 1242nd Floor, which sounds like we are in the clouds, but it is just how the building is numbered. We spend our days in the office handling the administrative side of the granite and marble trade. It is a lot of typing and checking invoices to make sure the stone gets to where it needs to go. From the window, you can see the daily life of Byrasandra moving along. It is a bit quieter here than being right in the middle of a stone yard, which is nice for getting the paperwork done. We have samples of different marbles on the shelves, mostly for us to look at when we are talking to people on the phone. The office is pretty basic, with a few desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We start early in the morning and try to finish up before the evening traffic gets too bad. It is a steady kind of work, mostly involving coordination and keeping track of the inventory sitting in the warehouses. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights, just a regular door and a group of people trying to keep the business running smoothly throughout the week.
