We are located over at 19/10A Rmv 2nd Stage, right on Gokhale Road. Most people know where we are because we are so close to the Big Bazaar. It is a handy spot for us to get around from. We have been painting houses and apartments around this area for a good bit of time. It is not exactly glamorous work. You spend a whole lot of time on your knees or up on a tall ladder reaching for those high corners. My clothes are basically ruined with different colored spots, but that is just part of the trade. We are not a big company with some marketing department. It is just a group of us who know how to handle a brush and a bucket. We get to the site early, move the furniture out of the way, and start the prep work. Sanding down the old paint is actually the worst part because it gets really dusty. But you have to do it if you want the new coat to actually stay on the wall. Gokhale Road is always moving, so we try to get our truck parked early before the traffic gets too bad. Being near Big Bazaar means there is always something going on outside. Sometimes people stop by and ask us questions while we are loading up the ladders in the morning. We do not mind. We just tell them what we know. It is a decent way to make a living.
