We’ve been here on 5th Cross for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot near the K G Maharaja Complex, and most days start pretty early for us. Kilari Road is always crowded with people moving back and forth, and that’s just how it is. People come in looking for small things, maybe a specific bolt or a door handle that broke at home. We spend a lot of time sorting through the bins and shelves to find exactly what someone needs. Sometimes the shop gets a bit messy when a big delivery comes in, but we try to keep things where we can find them. It’s not a fancy place. We’ve got shelves stacked all the way to the ceiling and some days the dust just settles on everything no matter how much we wipe it down. If you walk past the complex, you’ll see our sign. We usually have the shutters up by nine. Most of the people who stop by are from around here or work in the nearby shops. We talk about the weather or the traffic while we count out screws. It’s a simple way to spend the day. We don’t do anything too complicated, just keep the items stocked and help the people who walk through the door. The inventory changes depending on what’s available, but we always have the basics. It’s just us here, making sure the local builders and homeowners get what they’re looking for.
