Paragon

Being over here at 45 MG Road in the Peenya Industrial Area means we deal with a lot of noise. It is an industrial zone after all, so there are trucks and heavy vehicles moving around all day. Paragon has been in this spot for quite some time now. It’s not the kind of MG Road people usually think of when they imagine big shopping malls; it’s more about hard work and manufacturing in this part of town. The building isn't brand new, it has some marks on the walls and the stairs are a bit narrow to walk up. We spend most of our time just getting through the daily list of things that need to be done. The guys in the back are usually busy with their tasks and the front desk usually has a pile of papers on it. We don't have a fancy waiting room with coffee machines or leather sofas. Usually, if someone comes by to see us, they just stand and talk while we continue with our work. It’s practical and straightforward. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we just wait it out or use the backup if we really have to finish something quickly. It’s a bit hot during the summer months but we keep the fans going. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know the area and the neighbors pretty well.
