Down here at 14 P in Jigani 1st Phase, over in Anekal Taluk, things are always a bit busy with the sound of machinery. Panna Stones Pvt Ltd is where we handle a lot of natural stone work. The yard is filled with blocks and cut pieces waiting to be sent out. Jigani is a known spot for this kind of business, so we fit right in with the other warehouses and factories around us. It is not the cleanest job, as there is always a layer of stone dust on everything, and our boots usually stay grey. We spend the morning checking the inventory and the afternoon seeing what needs to be loaded onto the lorries. It is a lot of physical labor, moving heavy slabs and making sure nothing gets chipped or cracked while we are shifting things around. We do not do much in the way of advertising; people mostly find us because they know the address or they are looking for stone in this specific area. The office is just a small part of the building where we keep the paperwork. Most of the real work happens outside or under the sheds where the cutting tools are. It is a bit out of the way for some, but for us, it is just where we show up every morning. We take the stone as it comes from the earth and get it ready for whatever project someone is working on nearby or across the city.
