P V R Stones

At 156, Naubad Road in Kolhar, you’ll find our stone yard. P V R Stones has been operating here for quite a while now. The road is always busy with traffic, and the sound of trucks is something we have just gotten used to over the years. We deal with all kinds of stones, mostly for building and landscaping. It’s a heavy business, and my back definitely feels it at the end of every day. We don’t have a polished office; it’s mostly just a shed where we keep the books and take shelter when it rains. The dust from the stones gets on your clothes and in your hair, but that is just the way it is. I usually spend my time talking to drivers and making sure the loads are right. Kolhar is a good place to be, and we have many regulars who have been buying from us since we first opened the gates. We don't bother with fancy talk or big promises. We just show people what we have in the yard and they decide for themselves. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing it, which is frustrating but part of the trade. We keep a cooler of water for anyone who stops by because it gets really hot out on the road. It’s an honest way to make a living and we just take it one day at a time.
