If you know Banashankari, you probably know the 80 Feet Road area. Oswal Ceramics is located right here in Bank Colony, near the 1st Stage. We’ve been at number 268 for quite some time. It’s a busy spot, and the road can get pretty loud with all the buses and bikes going past our door. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of stock and us trying to keep track of everything. It’s not a showroom with bright lights and fancy music. We mostly just have our inventory and a desk where we handle the paperwork. Sometimes it’s a bit dusty, which is normal when you’re dealing with these kinds of materials every day. We see a lot of local builders and homeowners coming through. Most of them are just looking for something specific for a bathroom or a kitchen floor. We don’t try to talk anyone into things they don’t need. If we have it in the back, we show it to them. If we don’t, we just tell them. It’s pretty simple. The guys working here know where everything is kept, even if it looks like a bit of a mess to someone walking in for the first time. We’ve seen the neighborhood grow a lot over the years. More houses and more shops have popped up. But we’ve just kept doing what we do at our own pace. It’s a local business, nothing more. We open up in the morning and stay until the work is done.
