The shop at Rajaji Nagar 1st Main Road is usually pretty noisy by ten in the morning. We’ve been here at C-27 in the Industrial Estate for a good while now, mostly doing plastic engineering work. It’s not a very fancy place, just a lot of machines and molds and the smell of warm plastic that you get used to after a few days. Ohakawa Precision Plastic Engineering Pvt Ltd started out small and we’ve mostly just kept to ourselves, focusing on whatever job comes in next. Most of the guys here have been with us for years, so we all know how the old machines like to act up sometimes. On 7th Cross, you see a lot of people coming and going from other workshops, so there’s always something happening nearby. We don’t really have a big office or anything like that. There’s just a small desk where we keep the papers and a lot of floor space for the production stuff. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, which is just how things go around here. We don't spend much time on decorations or anything. It's more about making sure the parts are right and packed up to go out the door. If you’re walking down the 1st Main Road, you might miss us if you aren’t looking for the sign. We just keep our heads down and get the work done day in and day out. It’s not a glamorous life but it’s ours.
