Ocea International Hotel

We are located at No.72 on Markam Road, which is right next to Josephs Commerce College. Because of the college, we see a lot of students walking past our doors every single day. Brigade Road is just around the corner, so the whole area is pretty lively and full of energy. The hotel itself is a bit of an older building. We spend a lot of time painting the walls and fixing the plumbing, as those old pipes like to give us trouble. It’s a small team of us here. We handle the front desk, the cleaning, and the maintenance all between ourselves. It’s not a fancy corporate setup where everything is perfect. Sometimes the elevator takes a bit too long, or the hallway light flickers, but we get to it when we can. We get a mix of people staying here, some who are in town for work and others who are just visiting the college. We like to think we are just a practical place to stay without any of the extra fuss. There’s a small area where we have breakfast, and it’s usually quite peaceful in the early morning before the city wakes up. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us answering the door and making sure the beds are made. We’ve been part of this street for years now. The bells from the college sometimes ring loud enough for us to hear them in the lobby.
