Nova Granites (India) Limited

We’ve been at No. 25A in the Attibele Industrial Area for a good while now. Nova Granites (India) Limited is just what it says on the sign out front. It’s mostly heavy blocks and cutting machines around here. The yard gets pretty dusty when the big saws are running, but that's just part of the day. Most mornings start early because the heat gets tough to work in later on. We handle a lot of granite pieces, some big slabs and some smaller scraps. It’s hard work on the back, honestly. People come by the gate looking for specific stones or just to see what we have in stock. The machines make a lot of noise, so you usually have to shout to be heard over them. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk and some chairs in a small room where we keep the papers. Sometimes the trucks get stuck near the entrance if the rain has been heavy. We just deal with things as they come. It isn’t glamorous stuff, just moving stone from one place to another and making sure it’s cut. You’ll find us right in the industrial area, and usually someone is around if the gate is open. We’ve seen the area change a bit over the years, but we’re still here doing the same thing. It’s a lot of loading and unloading, really. Sometimes the power goes out and everything stops, then we just sit and wait. That’s how it goes here.
