Our shop is situated at number 63 on the ground floor, right near the junction of M G Road and St Marks Road. It is a very busy part of town, so there is always a lot of energy and people moving about outside our doors. We deal with all sorts of construction materials, and our space is usually filled with samples and heavy items that people need for building projects. Being so close to M G Road means we get a lot of foot traffic and people just popping in to ask questions about what they might need for a renovation. We have been operating from this ground floor spot for some time, and we have gotten used to the fast pace of the area. The warehouse part of our work is a bit further away, but here on St Marks Road, we handle the orders and talk to the customers. It is not a corporate setup with fancy carpets; it is a practical place for people who are actually doing the building work. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with suppliers and making sure things arrive when they are supposed to. Sometimes the city traffic makes deliveries a bit slow, but we do our best to stay on top of things and keep our customers informed about their orders and when to expect them. It is a constant hustle but we enjoy it.
