New Deccan International Granites

We are set up at 825 Jayanagar 7th Block, inside the Das Commercial Complex on Tilak Road. It’s a busy spot near Survey No 1674. We deal with granite slabs and stones all day. The place is often covered in a bit of stone dust, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the business. We have different types of granite stacked up, and they are heavy, so moving them around is a whole process. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of the stone is just there for people to see in the natural light. It’s a bit loud when the cutting tools are going, but that's part of the job. We've been in Jayanagar for quite some time now. People come in looking for something for their kitchens or floors, and we just show them what we have in stock. We don't do much talking; we let the stone speak for itself. It’s hard work, lifting and loading, and sometimes the weather makes it even tougher. But we’ve got a rhythm down. The complex gets quite crowded on weekends with people visiting all the different shops. We just focus on our corner and handle the orders as they come in. It’s a straightforward business with no frills. We close up once it gets dark because moving these slabs in the poor light isn't a very good idea for anyone.
