We are over at 142 Nagappa Street in Maheshana Nagar. It’s a more residential part of the area, so it’s a bit different from the hotels right in the middle of the city center. The building is an older one and we’ve had to do quite a bit of work on it over the years to keep it in good shape. We have a small gate at the front and a bit of space where people can park their scooters. Most of our guests are people who are in town for personal reasons or visiting family nearby. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who handle everything from the front desk to the cleaning. We spend a lot of time making sure the water heaters are working, especially in the mornings when everyone wants to bathe at once. The street outside can get a bit narrow with cars parked on both sides, but it’s generally a decent spot. We don't serve big meals here, just some basic things if someone asks. The rooms have simple furniture and we try to keep the curtains and bedsheets fresh. It’s a lot of daily chores, like sweeping the entrance and checking the mail. We’ve been here for a while and we know most of the neighbors on Nagappa Street. It’s just a steady, quiet business we run day in and day out.
