Nandhini Paradise

We are over at number 72 on the 1st Cross of St Marks Road. It’s a pretty busy part of town and there’s always something going on outside our door. Nandhini Paradise is a place where we serve food to whoever comes in. We have some tables and chairs but they're nothing special. They've been around for a while. We get a mix of office people and students because of where we're located. Our kitchen is busy from the time we open. We don't have a massive menu but we have enough to keep people coming back. We buy our vegetables from the market early in the morning. Sometimes the quality isn't great so we have to pick through them carefully. We’ve had some of the same staff for years now. They know the regulars and what they usually order. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the sound of plates clinking and people talking over each other. We try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long for a seat. Sometimes the overhead fans get a bit dusty and we have to climb up on chairs to clean them. It’s just a normal restaurant. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here. We just provide meals to the people in this part of the city and try to keep things running smoothly. We don't do any delivery, just sit down eating.
