We are located at No.72, and this 560001 zip code area is always full of cars, buses, and people rushing somewhere. I started working here because it was close to where I live. The days are quite long for most of us. I spend a lot of my time checking the stock in the back room or making sure the kitchen sinks aren't getting clogged with food scraps. We have these heavy curtains near the door that try to keep the street dust out, but it’s a constant battle every day. The kitchen gets very hot, especially around two o'clock when every single table is full of hungry people. We don't really do anything special, just cook what's on the daily menu and make sure the change in the cash register is right. Some of our customers have been coming here for ten years, and they always want to sit in the same corner. It’s funny how people get attached to a specific chair or a certain view of the road. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to close down for that. It’s easier to just keep going. We handle the morning rush, then the afternoon crowd, and finally the late diners who are heading home for the night. By the end of the shift, my shoes are worn out and the staff is ready to sleep. We just lock the front gate and do it all again.
