Nalapad�S Hotel Bangalore International

We've been here at Nalapad's Hotel Bangalore International on Crescent Road in High Grounds for a good while now. The building is at 2A-2B, right where the city gets busy. It’s a hotel, so people are coming and going all the time. Bangalore has changed a lot since we started, but this corner stays pretty much the same. We have staff who have been here for years. They know the regulars by name. It’s not one of those fancy glass skyscrapers you see popping up everywhere. It’s more of a solid, older building. Some days it’s quiet, and other days the lobby is full of luggage and people asking for directions to the golf club or the park nearby. We just try to keep the rooms clean and make sure the water is hot when it needs to be. It’s hard work running a place this size in such a busy part of town. Sometimes the traffic outside on Crescent Road gets really backed up, especially in the evenings. You can hear the horns honking from the higher floors. We spend a lot of time fixing things, painting walls, and making sure the kitchen is stocked for breakfast. It’s just how it is. People stay here for work mostly, or sometimes families coming to see the sights. We don’t do much fancy stuff, just keep the lights on and the doors open. It’s a job like any other, but we like being in this part of Bangalore. High Grounds feels like the heart of things. We just keep at it every day.
