Our office is at number 21 on the Kalasipalyam Tippu Sulthan Palce Road. It’s a tight space but it works for what we do. People come in all day asking about tours or just trying to find a way to get to the next city. We have some old maps pinned up and a desk that has seen better days. The road outside is never quiet, especially with the market nearby. Muqaddas Tours And Travels is mostly just us sitting here handling the bookings. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to wait a bit, but we get the work done. The tea man comes around twice a day and that’s when we take a small break. Most of the people who come in are locals or folks who have been traveling through this part of Bangalore for years. We don’t have any big signs or neon lights, just the name on the front. It can get quite warm in the summer months so we keep the door open to get some air. The shelves are full of old registers and some random things we’ve collected over the years. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people stand inside at once. We just focus on the logs and making sure the seats are booked correctly for everyone. It stays busy until the sun goes down and the street lights come on. We usually have to tidy up the newspapers before we lock the door for the night.
