Ms Capital Trading Co is located at Yeshwantpur APMC Yard, specifically on BDA land 752. Being in the yard means we are surrounded by wholesale activity all day long. There are always tractors and lorries backing up or pulling out, so you have to watch where you walk. Our office is a basic concrete structure that serves as our base for all the trading we do. We don't have any plush chairs or carpeted floors. It’s all functional, with metal shelves and heavy-duty scales. We deal in bulk, so we are often looking at samples of goods spread out on newspaper on the desks. The atmosphere is loud and dusty, which is just how a trading yard is. We spend a lot of time calculating prices and checking the quality of what comes in. The sun beats down on the yard in the summer, making the office feel like an oven, but we have a couple of noisy fans that help. We know the other traders around here, and there’s a lot of back-and-forth shouting across the lanes. It’s a place where work starts early and doesn't really stop until the sun goes down. We keep our records in thick registers, and there’s always a pile of receipts waiting to be filed. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s what we know and how we spend our hours.
