Mount Victoria Granites Ltd.

Mount Victoria Granites Ltd. operates out of Door No-120 in the Hoodi Apartment on Cunningham Road. It’s a bit of an older building, and being in the Kavitha area means we are right in the thick of things. Working with granite is heavy and messy work, even from the administrative side. We have our office set up here and it’s usually piled with samples and paperwork. Cunningham Road is always packed with cars, so getting in and out can be a real headache sometimes. We spend a lot of our time talking to suppliers and checking on orders. The phone rings a lot and there is always someone asking about prices or delivery dates. It’s not a polished corporate environment; it’s more of a place where we just get things done. We have a few chairs for people to sit on, but mostly it’s just a workspace. The walls are a bit plain and we don't have any big signs outside. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know all the local tea stalls and where to get a quick snack when we are too busy to take a real lunch break. It’s a lot of long hours and dealing with the weight of the stone, literally and figuratively. When the day ends, we just tidy up the desks and hope the traffic on Cunningham Road isn't too bad for the drive home.
