Mobile Technology

If you go down Makkan Road to number 39, you’ll find Mobile Technology. We are a small shop that focuses on fixing phones and other gadgets. The space is filled with tiny screwdrivers, magnifying glasses, and bits of wire. It can look a bit messy to someone walking in, but we know where everything is. We spend most of our time hunched over a workbench under a bright light. People bring in phones with cracked screens or batteries that won't charge anymore. We see all kinds of models, some very old and some brand new. It takes a lot of patience to work on these things because the parts are so small. Makkan Road is usually busy, so we get a lot of foot traffic. People stop in while they are out shopping to see if their device is ready yet. We don't have a big sales team; it’s just us doing the repairs ourselves. Sometimes a part takes a few days to arrive, and we have to explain that to the customer. We aren't trying to be the biggest tech center in the city. We just want to make sure people can get their phones working again without spending too much. It’s a practical business. We open the shutters in the morning and work until the light fades. That’s just the daily life here at number 39. We don't have much time for anything else besides fixing whatever is broken.
