We’re located over at units 42 and 43 in the Peenya Industrial Area, right off Hosur Road. Microtex Energy has been around for a while now, focusing on battery work and energy storage stuff. Our day usually starts early, with the warehouse guys checking the charging stations and making sure the acid levels and plates are all where they need to be. It’s a bit of a technical job, but it’s also very hands-on. You can’t really do this kind of work without getting a bit of dust on your clothes. The building is quite large because we need the space for all the heavy components and the finished units waiting to be shipped out. We have people here who have worked on batteries their whole lives, so they know exactly what to look for when a cell isn’t performing right. It’s not a quiet place, between the hum of the equipment and the forklifts moving palettes around. We don’t spend much time on fancy presentations. Most of our time is spent on the shop floor or in the testing lab making sure things actually work. It’s just us, working away in Peenya, trying to keep up with the orders that come in. We’re just a group of people who understand how to store power and we keep at it every day. The work is steady and the coffee in the breakroom is usually strong.
