Down on Old Padra Road in Malleshwaram, that’s where Mic & Mac Plastic Industries is located. We are at number 15. It’s an old part of the area, and we’ve been here long enough that the walls could tell some stories. Dealing with plastics means there's always that specific smell in the air. We have a few machines that have been running for a long time. They’re loud, but they get the job done. The guys who work here know exactly how to handle them. We don’t have a big shiny lobby. You walk in and you’re basically on the shop floor. It’s messy sometimes with offcuts and pellets, but that’s the nature of the business. Vadodara is a good place for this kind of work. We get our supplies locally when we can. At Mic & Mac, we aren't big on titles or hierarchies. Everyone chips in. If a machine needs fixing, we usually fix it ourselves. The office is just a corner with a couple of old desks and a filing cabinet that sticks every time you open it. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we really have to. Most of the time we are out back checking on the production runs. It’s a straightforward life. We make what people ask for and we try to get it out the door on time. Being at 15 Malleshwaram means we’re tucked away a bit, but people find us. It’s just a small industry doing its thing every day without any fuss.
