Meru Stone

You’ll find Meru Stone over at 9 Lalbagh West, specifically near Sunkalpet Cross. It’s a very busy part of town, always crowded with people and carts moving back and forth. Our place is full of different kinds of stone slabs and pieces, so there is always a bit of stone dust in the air. We keep the inventory stacked up along the walls. It’s heavy work, moving those pieces around, and we’re usually quite tired by the end of the day. The building at number 9 is simple and serves its purpose. We don’t have a showroom with bright lights. Most of the stone is just there for you to see in the natural light that comes through the doorway. Sunkalpet Cross is right there, so you can hear the vendors calling out and the horns honking all day long. We’ve been here at Lalbagh West for quite some time now. My clothes usually have some white dust on them from handling the materials. We don’t have a fancy website or anything like that. We just open up the doors in the morning and start moving stones. It’s a rugged kind of business and we don’t try to make it look like anything else. If you need Meru Stone, you just come to the cross and look for the slabs leaning against the wall. That’s us, just working away in the middle of the city. Looking at the sun through the dust is how we tell it is time to go.
