It is a fairly quiet spot compared to the main markets, which we like. The parlor is on a floor that gets some decent sunlight in the afternoons. We have the usual mirrors and the adjustable chairs that everyone uses. It is a small operation. Most days it is just a couple of us working. We know the people who live in the apartments around here quite well. Some have been coming to us since we first opened. The space is not big, so we have to be careful about where we put the supplies. We have shelves for the lotions and shampoos, and a small area where people can sit while they wait. Being near the lake is nice because the air feels a bit fresher. We do not have any fancy mission statements. We just show up, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer.
