Max Power

Max Power is located at Magadi Sola 57. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but for the people living nearby, we are just part of the street. We deal mostly with batteries and power backups. The shop is full of heavy boxes and those lead-acid batteries that you really don’t want to drop on your toes. It’s a bit dark inside because the shelves go all the way to the ceiling and block some of the light. We spend a lot of time testing things with meters to see why they aren't holding a charge. The floor is concrete and has some stains from old spills, but it’s a working shop, not a showroom. Sometimes the power goes out in the neighborhood and then everyone remembers we are here. We don’t have a lot of help, so if it’s busy, you might have to wait a minute while we finish up with someone else. The desk is cluttered with receipts and pens that barely work. It’s not the quietest place because of the main road nearby, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of trucks. We keep a small radio in the corner, though half the time we forget to turn it on. It’s just us doing what we do every day, making sure things stay running when the lights go out. We've got a heavy metal door we lock up at night.
