Maryanne G Mathias is the name on the door here at 6/1 Museum Road. It’s one of those classic Bangalore streets that still has a bit of that old-world feel to it, even with all the new buildings popping up. We’ve been in this spot for quite some time. The office is small and personal. We don't have a huge staff, so when you call or walk in, you’re usually talking directly to someone who knows exactly what’s happening with your file. Museum Road is a great place to be because of the trees and the history, but parking can be a real headache if you aren't careful. We mostly spend our days dealing with paperwork and coordinating different tasks. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we do. The office has a lot of natural light, which makes the long hours a bit easier to handle. We have our routine—tea in the afternoon and a quick chat about how the week is going. It's a quiet operation. We don't spend money on big ads or anything. We just focus on the people who come to us at 6/1. It’s a simple way of running things, and it seems to work for Maryanne and the rest of us here. You get used to the rhythm of the street and the people walking by.
