Maruthi Traders is at Avenue Road 84. If you’ve ever been to Avenue Road, you know how packed it is. There are booksellers and wholesalers everywhere you look. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We deal in various trading goods. The space is narrow and high, with shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling. We have to use a ladder to get most things down. It’s always a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside. We’ve been here for years, watching the crowds go by every single day. The tea here is the best because the guy across the street has been making it for thirty years. We don't have an "about us" page usually because people just know who we are by being in the market. Maruthi Traders is just a name on a board, but to us, it’s where we’ve spent most of our lives. It’s dusty, crowded, and noisy, but it’s our spot. We don't use computers for everything; a lot is still done with a pen and a ledger. It works for us. We handle the customers, count the stock, and try to make sure everything is in its place before we close the shutters at night. It’s a busy life in a busy market. Sometimes we have to shout just to be heard over the noise outside.
